Apologies for the radio silence! things are finally coming back to life in NYC. I’ll be at Jazz Forum in Tarrytown NY this Sunday with Brazilian pianist Helio Alves, and bring the Horne Electric Band back for our first show since January 2020 in November at Bar Lunatico. More NYC dates and European touring to be announced soon. Hope this finds you all well and healthy.

This is part of a series of new videos I’m curating entitled “Choro in my apartment.” Also, now is a trying time for performing artists, more so than ever. Excited to announce the Hornē Electric Band will be part of Winterjazz Fest in NYC this year. We play at Brooklyn Bowl on January 16, opening for Mark Guiliana’s Space heroes and Scott Amendola vs. Will Blades.

Great show coming up sunday at Barbes in Brooklyn. The Helio Alves/Tyler Blanton group plays samba jazz classics and not- so-known gems from the Brazilian repertoire. Music by Jobim, Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Horta, and others. We’ll be joined by legendary drummer, Duduka Da Fonseca!
